Judge Kicks Fiddy to the Curb

50 Cent will have to stay well away from baby mama Shaniqua Tompkins -- and if he wants to see his son Marquise, the pickup's going to be curbside.

Tompkins got a temporary restraining order against Fiddy, which, we're told, will require him to forfeit any guns and other firearms and any pickup and drop off of Marquise must be "at curbside." He's also not allowed to be on any premises where Shaniqua is, but there's no distance specified.

Shaniqua's lawyer Paul Catsandonis says that they will be arguing for a permanent restraining order against the rapper next month. We left a message for 50's lawyer Brett Kimmel, but haven't heard back yet.

Picasso painting breaks Australia art sale record

SYDNEY (Reuters) - An abstract portrait by Pablo Picasso on Wednesday smashed the record for an artwork sold in Australia, netting A$6.9 million ($6.1 million) at an auction in Sydney.

The 1954 painting "Sylvette", which clearly showed the ponytail and young face of model and later successful artist, Sylvette David, amid bright swathes of red, yellow and green, was sold to an unidentified phone bidder.

"Sydney is the New York of the art market in the southern hemisphere," Deutscher-Menzies Galleries spokeswoman Marie Geissler told Reuters, adding the sale proved Australian galleries could sell works internationally.

The Picasso easily broke the country's previous record of A$3.48 million, paid for a work last year by Brett Whiteley, the late wild-haired bad boy of Australian Art.

Australia has been experiencing a year-long boom in art sales, driven by cashed-up collectors involved in the country's China-driven mining boom.

Rodney Menzies, the chairman of Menzies Art Brands, bought the Picasso two years ago for $4,608,000 and had tipped strong overseas interest in the painting from Asia and Europe.

Sylvette David featured in more than 40 pieces by Picasso after sitting for him while living as a 17-year-old at Valories in the south of France. Her tall frame and long, blond ponytail fascinated the Spanish cubist painter, who died in 1973.

Fox gets animated over Canada's "Bob & Doug"

TORONTO (Hollywood Reporter) - The Fox network will help to develop "The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie," a Canadian primetime cartoon that reunites Second City TV alumni Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas.

Thomas said Monday that Fox became involved in the pilot episode of a cartoon based on the SCTV characters Bob & Doug McKenzie, to be voiced by himself and Moranis.

The animated sitcom is based on the beer-addled Bob & Doug characters, who began as a two-minute SCTV skit in 1980 on the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

The "hoser" characters, played by Thomas and Moranis, grew a cult following as they went on to star in TV commercials and the 1983 dumb-buddy feature film "Strange Brew."

Thomas said the Canadian cartoon series will add friends and family and a fictional town setting for the Bob & Doug characters.

Canada's Global Television already has ordered 13 episodes of the show for its 2009 schedule.

Also starring in the animated series are Canadian actors and comedians Dave Coulier ("Full House"), Colin Mochrie, Pat McKenna, Derek McGrath, Ron Pardo, Jayne Eastwood and Ho Chow.

The Fox deal represents the latest Canadian series to find U.S. network favor. Global Television's "Howie Do It," a comedy that stars Howie Mandel, was recently picked up by NBC, which also acquired the Canadian paranormal drama "The Listener" from Shaftesbury Films as well as Lionsgate's 13-episode horror anthology "Fear Itself."

American Pie - No More Dude For Scott

AMERICAN PIE star SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT has been forced to erase the word 'dude' from his vocabulary after naming his new Labrador puppy after JEFF BRIDGES' character in THE BIG LEBOWSKI.

The actor quickly realised that his overuse of the word is confusing his pet and so he has pledged not to use it any more.

He explains, "I got a puppy, my first dog; he's a yellow Lab. Everybody said it was gonna be a lot of work but I had no idea.

"I named him Dude from The Big Lebowski and now I'm forced not to call my friends 'Dude' anymore, because I'll be saying to my friends, 'Hey Dude, don't drink any more beer,' and my dog's looking at me like, 'I'm not drinking beer.'"
